UPF - PFCP Establishment Request throws error No PDR although it is available

Hi Free5GC Team,

We are integrating Rebeca’s test tool, ABoT - A test orchestration solution with UPF.
TestSetup is provided below,

ABoT sends PFCP Session Establishment Request to UPF.
UPF receives PFCP Session Establishment Request and throws error as No PDR.

When analysing .pcap files on both sides, PFCP message has Create PDR IE. Attaching pcap file in UPF for reference.
Can you please help to resolve this.

Hi Lakshmi,

In the given upf.pcap, there is no PFCP Association Setup Request from ABoT. Then, UPF discarded the given PFCP Session Establishment Request.

One more thing, the PFCP Session Establishment Request from IP 172.16.1.19 instead of IP like in your figure.

One more update,

Even though, the PFCP Sess. Est. Request also not correct, you have to fix that issue to.

There is no proper info about NodeID, F-SEID, PDR, and FAR.

For example, the PDR of Downlink specified as Forward but there is no information about outer header creation.

Hi Muthuraman,

Thanks for your response.
ABoT VM has two interfaces, 1 interface has 172.16.1.19 and other interface has 192.168.20.11.
Hence UPF VM(192.168.20.17), able to receive message from ABoT VM.

We are working to fix both issues,

  1. PFCP Association Request
  2. IEs in PFCP Sess. Est. Request

Hi Lakshmi,

Want to know the steps to integrate Rebeca with free5gc.
We have set up ABoT VM’s and free5gc build is also up just want to know how to integrate both.
